Tourism Bureau's issues travel passport

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Tourism Bureau yesterday announced the launch of a travel passport that will save tourists up to 40 percent when traveling around Taiwan through Taiwan Tour Bus.
According to the Tourism Bureau, this is the first time that the bureau has worked with companies in the tourism industry to promote the travel passport, which includes 71 different packaged tours that will allow tourists to enjoy various sides of Taiwan.
The Tourism Bureau said that any tourists who travel around Taiwan through the Taiwan Tour Bus can participate in the lucky draw and have a chance to win two set tickets to travel around Taiwan.
Tourism Bureau Deputy Director-General Liu Hsi-lin (劉喜臨) said that travelers have to make appointments in order to get on Taiwan Tour Bus, which is different from the existing Taiwan Tourist Shuttle.
Liu said that people who wish to travel around Taiwan but have no time to schedule the trips can consider using Taiwan Tour Bus.
According to the Tourism Bureau, Taiwan Tour Bus schedules 36 kinds of trips that include the major scenic spots in Taiwan. It will lead you to experience Taiwan's city life, Taiwanese passion and hospitality, the ecology of farms, the spectacular scenery, hot springs, delicious food, shopping and Chinese holiday activities.
The Tourism Bureau said that Taiwan Bus Tour will give tourists the most convenient and friendly tour service. The tour buses will directly pick tourists up at the airport and train station, drive them to the hotel directly and provide transportation, insurance and a tour guide who can speaks Chinese, English and Japanese.
According to the Tourism Bureau, there have been over 1.3 million tourists who have traveled around the nation through Taiwan Tour Bus since it was first launched in 2004, and 70 percent of them were international tourists.
