The all-new Ford Mustang takes the stage at COMPUTEX Taipei

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The all-new Ford Mustang took to the stage at COMPUTEX Taipei with style and the latest smart technology, proving that Ford stills leads the industry in car smart technology development.

"With the all-new Ford Mustang, live demonstrations of our experimental vehicle-to-vehicle communications technology and all of the cutting-edge tech and interactive displays (can be seen) at the Ford stand," said Trevor Worthington, the vice president, Product Development for Asia Pacific at Ford Motor Company. "COMPUTEX is a great example of how Ford is taking technology to the next level."

"Our customers are going to love bringing their favorite apps into their cars using the AppLink platform, and our Emergency Assistance technology has reassured drivers in markets all over the globe with its first responder capabilities," said Worthington.

The sixth-generation mustang, the all-new Ford Mustang, presented the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology for the first time in the Asia-pacific area through the stage of COMPUTEX Taipei.

The all-new Ford Mustang is also equipped with Ford SYNC and AppLink for this first time, which is a center touch screen with the voice-activated control that allows drivers to utilize other electronic aspects of their Mustang without needing to touch it.

Drivers can also enjoy the benefits of the Emergency Assistance that works with the Ford SYNC system. The Emergency Assistance connects drivers to emergency responders in the event of an accident, providing the emergency operators with GPS location details.

The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) that comes with the all-new Ford Mustang uses two discreetly placed rear radar sensors to help warn you of cars approaching on either side. Moreover, the Cross-Traffic Alert feature alerts drivers of objects behind the vehicle as they are in reverse.
