DBS Taiwan displays 'Expert Way' game to promote forex investments

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- In tandem with the inauguration of its forex trading discount promotion, DBS Taiwan recently announced an online game, "Expert Way," which advises participants on forex investments through the game with three notable professionals in Taiwan.

DBS Taiwan recently announced a new wave of promotions including discount offers for front-desk forex trading, 62 percent off the processing fee for a systematic mutual fund investment plan, as well as 1.58-percent six-month prime rate for U.S. dollar-based time deposit plan.

DBS said that interested people can log straight onto DBS Taiwan's official website to start the game, or scan the QR code of "Expert Way" that can be found on newspaper or magazine adverts. The game is poised to end on June 20.

The bank said that the three notables who lend their images on "Expert Way" are Taiwan's master baker Wu Pao-chun (吳寶春), food critic Yeh Yi-lan (葉怡蘭) and ultramarathon runner Kevin Lin (林義傑).

On the front page of "Expert Way," Wu, Yeh and Lin stated that they, however skillful as they are at their fields of expertise, are admittedly new kids on the block when it comes to foreign exchange investment, adding that they believe DBS Taiwan's "Expert Way" will show them the path to the wealth gateway.

As participants proceed on the checkboard of "Expert Way," installed on DBS Taiwan's official website, they would be greeted and quizzed on questions about respective fields by the four dignitaries before the game comes up with a diagnosis about the participant's possible weaknesses in forex trading.

DBS Bank Taiwan General Manager Jerry Chen (陳亮丞) said that the bank's ambition to assume the role as a forex expert helps the bank better serve local customers and position its service well in Taiwan's wealth management market.
