Bollore Logisitic subsidiary first-ever company certified in Timor-Leste

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- SDV Timor-Leste, a subsidiary of Bollore Logisitic, recently successfully set up its integrated management system (IMS) by obtaining the three major ISO/OHSAS standards, making it the first logistic support company certified in Timor-Leste.
Bollore Logisitic is a multinational working in supply chain management and ranks among the world's top 10 in transport and logistics with a network of 600 sites in 102 countries. Majority interest in the Bollore Logisitic is controlled by the Bollore Group, a Paris- listed company ranked among the world's top 500 companies with a turnover of approximately 10 billion euros annually.
SDV Timor-Leste said it successfully set up its IMS by obtaining the three major standards: ISO 9001:2008 (Quality), ISO 14001:2004 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Health/Safety) with zero nonconformity.
Bureau Veritas Certification delivered the first audit certification of any company in Timor-Leste to SDV.
The scope of certification is very wide and covers SDV's four sites in Timor-Leste: the head office in Dili, the airport office, the seaport office and supply base as well as the warehouse, said Rafael Ribeiro, managing director at SDV Timor-Leste.
The certification of stevedoring services is very important as SDV together with Bollore Group is currently exploring the possibility of building and operating a new port in Dili equipped with the most modern port handling capabilities.
