Taipei IN Style events expect to reel in more than US$8 mil. in deals

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Spring/Summer 2014 edition of Taipei IN Style (TIS) culminated in large-scale runway shows and seminars and is expected to bring in more than US$8 million in business.
The TIS fashion show, held from Thursday, April 17 to Sunday, April 20 at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, is being organized semiannually from 2014 to adhere to the international buying seasons and runs for four days with the likelihood of creating over US$8 million for the fashion industry in Taiwan.
More than 100 Taiwanese designer brands participated, while appealing fashion designers from 19 other regions and countries also took part. TIS 2014 presented 8 runway shows, including fashion pieces by designers from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Macau, Asia's famous women's apparel brands, international golf wear and more.
TIS also invited globally known fashion professionals to give speeches in six seminars, sharing fashion trends and marketing strategies. The TIS expects that the exhibition will generate business opportunities between local and international designers and thus enhance the visibility of Taiwanese local fashion brands.
International New-Emerging Designers in Taipei
25 pieces of TIS exhibitors' amazing clothes were showcased last weekend, which included Chinese Fashion Week (CFA) Award winner Angel Li, Hong Kong Fashion Week Extravaganza 2014 designer representative Henry Lau, Macau Fashion Festival senior designer Kitty Ng, and famous Taiwanese fashion duo Stephane Dou and Changlee Yugin, winner of the Taiwan Fashion Design Award.
Asia Fashion Collection project organized by Vantan Design Institute and Parco introduced international fashion design talents from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, such as Taiwanese designer Austin Wu and Japanese designer Akiko Kishimoto with their latest striking New York Fashion Week works.
TIS 2014 presented Taiwanese women's brand Keraia with their fine luxurious autumn/winter collection; Taipei Fashion Award 2013 winner Athena CHUANG, who establishes her eponymous brand under the Yulon Group's subsidiary corporation — InDesign presents her new spring/summer collection at the event; the representatives of Shanghai and Hangzhou women's fashion brands Eifini and Lesies introduce their urban outfits and Jack Nicklaus displays elegant and sophisticated US golf wear.
TIS 2014 also showcases some great pieces of clothing from TIS exhibitors to highlight the significance of the event. The women's clothing brands respectively demonstrate their fortes, including VISIBLE's simple and sophisticated work; Viga Wang's pure and rustic line; if&n's natural and tailored cutting wear; Wow Bravo & Funky Rap's artistic and creative pieces; 58 and fu yue's authentic and clean collections; Chun Ting Liu's offbeat works; Crystal Wang's discreetly luxurious clothing and MODO's Italian inspired art creation.
For men's wear, TIS presents: Jeansda's Japanese shokunin wear; Sneeze's urban and colorful look; Vivacita's Italian and oriental line; Mischief's urban and playful look; Outerboro's debut of antifouling high-tech textile.
2014 Great Fashion Event in Asia with Strong Sponsorship
Through the TIS 2014 platform, more and more Taiwanese fashion designers will be seen and their works will thus shine on the global fashion stage.
TIS 2014 is considered as the pioneer of fashion events in Taiwan. Not only does it connect Taiwan to the global fashion but also partners up with numerous renowned fashion businesses, including Visavis Hair Design, international make-up and skin care brand- too cool for school, renowned tea perfume brand P.Se7en Eeu De Parfum, Taiwanese leading beverage company HeySong and No. 1 Japanese umeshu merchandiser Choya Umeshu Co.
