Taiwan ranks 3rd, 4th in 2014 baking competition

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Two bakers from Taiwan have finished third and fourth in the 2014 Bakery Masters competition held March 8-12 in France.
Lin Kun-wei, 32, ranked third in the Viennese pastry category, with a vanilla pineapple brioche made from pineapples from Guanmiao in Tainan and a honey caramel brioche using preserved orange peel.
Huang Wei-hsun, 37, ranked fourth place in the artistic piece category, with a piece created with Taiwanese and Buddhist elements.
