Feb. forex reserves hits record, near US$418 bil.

TAIPEI--Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves hit a record high of US$417.98 billion at end of February, the Central Bank said Wednesday.

The amount was US$1.04 billion up from the figure recorded at the end of January.

The Central Bank attributed the increase to proceeds from investments and the rise of reserve currencies such as the euro in value against the dollar.
