Forex reserves amount to record of US$416.935 bil.

TAIPEI--Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves had risen to a record high of US$416.935 billion as of the end of January, US$124 million more than a month earlier, the central bank reported Thursday.

The bank attributed the slight gains made in the month mainly to the depreciation of the euro against the U.S. dollar, which helped eat into investment profits, according to the central bank.
