Five-in-one food show brings in 3,700 booths, sets attendance record

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Five food shows, Food Taipei, Foodtech & Pharmtech Taipei, Taipei Pack and two others, have attracted nearly 1,500 exhibitors at 3,700 booths, breaking records in terms of the number of exhibitors.
The Taiwan International Hotel, Restaurant & Catering Show (Taiwan Horeca), along with Food Taipei, Foodtech & Pharmtech Taipei, Taipei Pack and Halal Taiwan will showcase a variety of exhibition items. Five world-class exhibitions will be staged from June 25 to 28 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 and Nangang Exhibition Hall.
According to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the 2,000 booths at Nangang Exhibition Hall have recently been sold out, while the World Trade Center venue has sold 1,000 booths. In terms of the number of exhibitors, the five-in-one food show has exceeded last year's show and set a new high, TAITRA said.
Booth applications for the Foodtech & Pharmtech Taipei show have been open to exhibitors since Nov. 20, 2013. The show has so far attracted more than 500 exhibitors, setting a new high among food technology shows in Taiwan, TAITRA said.
The World Trade Center venue will for the first time present a vegetarian and organic food theme pavilion featuring Uni-President Natural Corp., Handa International, Green Fruits and Vegetables Biotechnology Co. and Fresh Corn Industrial Co.
