China Airlines voted by consumers as ideal brand for 2014

TAIPEI--China Airlines (CAL), Taiwan's largest air carrier, was selected as an ideal brand for 2014 by consumers in Taiwan, a study published by the Chinese-language Management Magazine in its December edition showed.

CAL, which is also a leading international carrier in Asia, has won the title as the first ideal brand in the annual study's category of airlines for the fifth year in a row.

In 1984, Management Magazine started the study on the ideal brands of consumers, who were asked to spell out instinctively the name of an ideal brand in their mind. The survey is aimed at detecting a brand's weight in consumers' minds.

Apart from the honor, CAL has also been chosen as the most influential airline brand in 2013 by the Manager Today monthly, and the favorite brand used by the 25 to 35-year-old age group in 2013 by 30 Magazine.

In addition, the company has won a gold award in Reader's Digest's “Trusted Brand” survey for 2013, while Global Views Monthly honored it with a distinguished services award in the international airlines category.
