China's ICT sector output is expected to reach 10.9 trillion Chinese yuan (US$1.78 trillion) in 2014, up 13.8 percent from 9.6 trillion Chinese yuan this year, the Topology Research Institute said in a note.
The development of fourth-generation (4G) mobile broadband networks and integrated circuit design and manufacturing will help boost the market, the institute said, citing estimates of growing ICT product shipments.
Smartphone shipments in China will reach 355 million units in 2014, up 17.5 percent from the previous year, Topology predicted.
Tablet computer shipments will top 40 million units in the world's second-largest economy in 2014, for the first time surpassing notebook shipments, the institute said.
