The unit's advanced motor is driven by neodymium magnates ten times more powerful than conventional ferrite magnets, and it's efficiency is rated at a stellar 5.50 coefficient of performance (COP). The unit is available in a number of variants in 9 configurations ranging from 2.2kW to 9.0 kW for various sizes ranging from 4 to 15 pings. Available in one, two or three-way configurations of varying capacity ratings, the SKY AIR systems are suitable for applications of all scales. For larger-scaled projects requiring central air conditioning applications, Daikin's industry leading product line of variable refrigerant volume systems (VRV) has been increased to 3 series, with 3 variations each, for a total of 83 possible configurations. In addition, starting this year, the option of installing outdoor units is available. For smaller-scale residential applications, the company announced the release of the VRV-S systems, available in 8 and 10 HP capacity ratings.
