Acer to hold 5th forum on social responsibilityCNA TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Acer Inc. will hold its fifth annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum on March 22 in Taipei as part of the Taiwanese computer maker's efforts to explore global trends in sustainable management.
March 18, 2013, 12:05 am TWN Those invited to the Acer CSR Forum this year include representatives from Carbon Disclosure Project, Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition, Green Electronics Council, and Greenpeace, the company said in a recent statement. The two major keynote speakers for the seminar are Peter Bakker, president of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and Mervyn E. King, chairman of the International Integrated Reporting Council, according to Acer. “In the global information and communications technology (ICT) industry, Acer takes the lead and continues to invite stakeholders and suppliers to probe CSR topics,” Acer Corporate President Jim Wong said in the statement.
