In second and third places are food manufacturer Uni-President Enterprises Corp. and bookstore operator Eslite Corp., followed by Chunghwa Telecom and Internet services firm Google Inc.

Rounding out the top 10 are Starbucks Coffee, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., EVA Airways, household good retailer Muji and China Airlines.

With companies involved in the service industry showing such dominance, the results demonstrate that the sector is becoming increasingly popular among the younger generation, the magazine said.

Asked about their ideas of the most desirable profession, civil service, which offers a stable income, was mentioned by the largest number of respondents, followed by careers in the travel and restaurant industries.
