Jetstar flight from Osaka to Taipei rescheduled to today

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A Jetstar Asia flight to Taipei from Osaka, Japan, scheduled to depart at 5 p.m. yesterday was delayed due to a mechanical issue, the airline said.

The flight is scheduled to leave at 9 a.m. today.

Passengers said the company arranged dinner and breakfast for them, as well as a ticket discount coupon of NT$2,383.

Another Jetstar Asia flight from Osaka to Taipei was delayed on Feb. 26 due to poor visibility.

Local media reported that passengers complained that the company did not provide any compensation including meal and accommodation. Some passengers said even Jetstar Asia provided meal and accommodation this time, but it has disturbed their schedule thus caused further inconvenience.

The airline has recently seen several other flights rescheduled, including one on Feb. 9, flying from Taipei to Osaka, and another on Feb. 17, to Taiwan from Japan. The latter was delayed due to a computer system malfunction and machinery maintenance.
