Asustek Computer Inc. 10-inch tablet to go on sale in Taiwan next week
CNATAIPEI -- Taiwan-based Asustek Computer Inc. will begin selling its 10.1-inch tablet — the MeMO Pad Smart ME301 — in Taiwan on Feb. 25, the company announced yesterday.

The unit, which was first unveiled by Asustek on Feb. 8, will be sold for NT$11,900 in Taiwan, the company said.
The MeMO Pad Smart, which runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, features a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, an IPS (In Panel Switching) panel and Asus-exclusive SonicMaster technology.
The device is also equipped with a 5-megapixels rear camera for high quality photos and a 1.2-megapixels front-facing camera for video conferencing. Its battery run time is 8.5 hours.
