12,000 Chinese Amway employees to visit TaiwanCNA TAIPEI--Some 12,000 Chinese employees of the U.S. direct sales company Amway will visit Taiwan in March and April on incentive tours, the company said yesterday.
February 20, 2013, 12:02 am TWN The employees from 19 Chinese cities will arrive in Taiwan in separate groups from March 12 to April 1 on five-day upscale sightseeing tours arranged for the company's outstanding workers, said Liu Ming-hsiung, president of Amway Taiwan and vice president of Amway Greater China. The visitors will stay at five-star hotels and travel by taxi, train and high-speed rail throughout Taiwan, he said. They are expected to bring NT$1.1 billion (US$37.2 million) worth of business to the country, according to Amway China. Taipei-based Apple Tour, which is arranging the local tours for the visitors, said Kaohsiung is the most popular destination in Taiwanamong Chinese Amway employees, followed by Chiayi, Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County, and Hualien on the East Coast.
