E-publishing woes shared: Leipzig's book fair chiefCNA TAIPEI--Book fairs in Germany and Taiwan are facing similar challenges from e-publishing and how to attract readers to book fairs, Oliver Zille, director of Germany's Leipzig Book Fair, said yesterday at the Taipei International Book Exhibition.
February 1, 2013, 1:01 am TWN Zille stated that one of the reasons he decided to come to the fair was to learn more about new media and e-publishing. He said, however, that he was “a little astonished” to find that there are not as many e-books on show as he had imagined, and added that Taiwan's situation could be similar to that of Germany, where he said e-books currently account for only 1 percent of the total book market.
