New Kinpo Group aims for higher growth in '13CNA TAIPEI -- Taiwanese electronics conglomerate New Kinpo Group predicted yesterday a higher annual revenue growth for 2013 than last year amid a recovery in the global economy.
January 18, 2013, 2:00 pm TWN The group's revenue increased by 6.6 percent to US$6.62 billion in 2012 and it is expected to grow at an even higher rate in 2013, New Kinpo Group Chairman Rock Hsu told a press briefing before his company's year-end party in Taipei. Hsu said the global economy has passed the bottoming-out stage and is likely to recover at a faster pace in the second half of this year, particularly in emerging markets. New Kinpo includes three main subsidiaries — calculator manufacturer Kinpo Electronics Inc., LED lighting supplier AcBel Polytech Inc. and Cal-Comp Electronics and Communications Co., which makes printers, hard disk drives and LCD TVs.
