186 more guesthouses get 'Host' certifications

Bureau officials said that all the local guesthouses obtaining the “Taiwan Host” certification should have their software service quality and hardware facilities reach a certain level, and their owners should be friendly and hospitable to visitors.

The officials said that the “Taiwan Host” certification is designed to highlight the service spirit of guesthouses and has a validity period of three years.

If any certified guesthouse receives serious complaints from consumers and fails to improve, the Tourism Bureau will revoke the certification.

This is the second list of its kind revealed by the Tourism Bureau. A list of another 315 certified private guesthouses was announced earlier.
