Hon Hai to invest in US water-proof camera firm

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Hon Hai plans to invest US$200 million in U.S.-based Woodman Labs Inc., which makes water-resistant cameras under the brand GoPro.

“The investment is meant to strengthen our product mix,” said spokesperson Hsing Chih-ping during an interview with the Central News Agency. “We badly need image-capturing technology to strengthen our current display technology.”
