The China Post news staff--Everyone attending the "Taiwan Yes" happy lotto scratch event sponsored by Taiwan Lottery Co. at central Nantou County's Zinan Temple tomorrow will have not only more opportunities to win prizes but can also enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities.
Taiwan Lottery chose the temple in Zhushan (or Chushan) of Nantou for the event mainly because the temple has long been a gathering place for a large number of residents who worship Tudigong (Earth God), the patron deity of the local community.
Senior executives of the company, which is headquartered in Taipei, will go down to Zhushan and join the residents in prayer ceremonies for protection and good luck provided by the god.
There will be a variety of scratch lotto tickets available and participants in the happy scratch event will be able to win cash prizes.
Those who do not win prizes in the first ticket scratch round will still be in the running for other prizes, including tablet computers, folding bicycles and other products at raffles to be held every hour.
The scratch tickets can also be used for other activities, including such as a ride on the lucky Ferris wheel.
Taiwan Lottery launched the series of "Taiwan Yes" happy lotto scratch events in July to give residents in different areas of Taiwan the chance to join the fun and win prize money or products offered by the company.
