Dollar closes lower on Taipei forex, turnover hits US$741 mil. in session

TAIPEI -- The U.S. dollar fell against the New Taiwan dollar yesterday, shedding NT$0.072 to close at NT$29.360.

Turnover totaled US$741 million during the trading session.

The U.S. unit opened at the day's high of NT$29.430, off a low of NT$29.220 before the close.
