According to the report, business operations of countless domestic enterprises got a timely boost following the international financial meltdown two years ago. And the vouchers enabled many underprivileged families to better cope with financial difficulties. The evaluation report said the unprecedented nationwide project also created the unquantifiable benefit of raising Taiwan's international profile when governments across the world were scrambling to adopt measures to cope with the worldwide economic downturn.
