Providing the ultimate UK study experience through UKEASYet one company that looks to break the pay-to-play practice by offering free consultations instead of free lunches is the UK Education Advisory Service or UKEAS for short. UKEAS aims to provide a free, honest and reliable consultation service to Taiwanese students looking to further their education by attending a British uni-versity. For the better part of two decades, UKEAS has been providing free expert advice on a wide-ranging amount of top-ics about British Education. From univer-sity rankings to local British restaurants, the highly qualified counselors at UKEAS are trained to know the ins-and-outs of the over 100 universities in UK system. All the counselors have not only been trained to be experts about the UK, but have also been through the British edu-cation system first hand. With this expe-rience, the team of counselors is able to provide a highly personalized service to prospective students. In addition to the in-office counseling that UKEAS counselors provide to appli-cants, UKEAS also arranges the triennial UK Unitour that allows prospective stu-dents to meet with representatives from top British universities. Making stops in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung, this event allows students to have a one-on-one talk with an admission representative. Unlike most travel abroad exhibitions, students will not need to fight for time or even line up to talk to a counselor — all the spots for the Unitour are based on a reservation basis. It is through this particular system that UKEAS has been able to help more than a thousand students a year. And it plans to continue to grow this number by expanding to other countries. Originally founded by two brothers, Richard and John Smith in 1993, UKEAS has been able to expand to 21 offices in countries including China and Vietnam. | |||||||||||||
