Updated Thursday, July 24, 2008 0:00 am TWN, Do it today, or regret it tomorrowLate President Chiang sketched the 10 national projects at a time when Taiwan suffered setbacks at the United Nations (UN) and encountered the impact of the oil crisis, economic recession, and the pressure for industrial transfer. At that time, the government set aside a considerable budget of NT$200 billion as a fund to bolster the development of the 10 national construction projects. It’s the government’s persistence that led Taiwan to achieve a globally admired economic miracle and upgrade itself as a technology-based island. We have gone through the same past and jointly pursued national economic growth. During the course of developing a homeland of our own, we traveled abroad with simple briefcases to seeking business opportunities around the world. We are all participants and witnesses of Taiwan’s economic miracle. Today, roughly 35 years later, we experience another wave of a worldwide stagnant economy and encounter uncertainty about the future. The 10 Construction Projects of Farglory continue the government’s spirit and vision for creating a better life and pursuing economic growth amid an economic downturn. “Do it today, or regret it tomorrow.” Farglory invites you to join it in creating a better life for tomorrow. |
