“There are many Booker and Pulitzer Prize winning authors included. Art, travel, health, child rearing, music, children‘s titles, culinary titles, and more are abundant,” TAS says.
There is also a special collection of Asian writers and materials about Taiwan. Books in Chinese and other languages are also available.
“Those teaching or learning English will find many ESL and language skill/drill developing books,” TAS states. “Students looking to prepare for the SAT and other tests will also find a section dedicated to preparation textbooks. There is also a good collection of biographies and various nonfiction titles. You will also find hundreds of magazines and comic books, puzzles, as well as games.”
Visitors purchasing books and other items at the Orphanage Club sale are helping TAS students raise money for orphans and needy children in Taiwan and abroad.
In the event of rain this morning, the sale may be postponed to Mar. 15. TAS is asking the public to tune in to ICRT (100.7 FM) for confirmation if there is a postponement.
