Today, Tainan County is known as a high-tech county that boasts its own Science-based Industrial Park, employing more than 50,000 people. You can travel directly to Tainan County by train, bus or car, and since January this year, the High Speed Rail (HSR) has become the most convenient means of transportation. Depending on the train schedule, it takes between one-and-a-half and two-and-a-half hours to reach Tainan Station, with round-trip tickets ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$3,000. From the station, taxis and buses can conveniently bring you closer to your destination. Tainan County can also be reached by inter-city buses or plane, with the closest domestic airport in Kaohsiung.
