STSP home to artifacts, good working environment

Technology with an artistic component is like a robot programmed with artificial intelligence. The robot has a more human touch. When one first steps into the Tainan Science Park (TSP), a lotus bulb ready to burst into full blossom can be seen. The lotus symbolizes the vigor and vitality of STSP. In contrast, the Cable Bridge a short distance away represents the development and breakthrough spirit of STSP.

The truth is that STSP is not just a technology hub but also a cultural hub, where some 1,500 to 1,800 artifacts and remains of the ancient Siraya people dating as far back as 5,000 years have been excavated.

Such cultural relics are currently displayed at a museum within the park. In addition, in order to preserve these historical remnants, STSP actively pursued an initiative to establish a branch location of the National Museum of Prehistory at the STSP site. In the near future, STSP will be a major resource for cultural heritage preservation.

A good working environment is always the top priority for most people when choosing a job. At STSP, there are three lakes nestled in the park, providing a beautiful landscape. Those working in the park have the opportunity to enjoy a lakeside walk as the sun sets each evening.

A variety of activities are also planned year-round for tenants to enjoy, including several outdoor events and holiday celebrations such as German Oktoberfest and Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

"We want to offer the people who live here not only somewhere to work, but a place where 'production', 'ecology' and 'living' come together," says Chen Chun-wei, director-general of the park's administration.
