Active Development Corp., a company offering advanced video and multimedia solutions, has rolled out

several new products to delight users of all levels. All the products are on display at the company's booth at COMPUTEX TAIPEI.

The DV1000 HDMI capture card enhances the experience of working with HDMI, the most advanced video interface found in market today. The capture card, which is inserted into the PC and is compatible with the PCI Express standard, comes with an HDMI input that allows the capture of high-definition videos from game consoles, high-definition DVD players, and digital video cameras, among others.

"The captured image may be edited or processed on the PC according to the user's need," said Henry Wu, Active general manager.

Another cutting-edge product is the UV160 USB viewer, which allows the display of different applications running on the same PC on up to four monitors, all shown in maximal 1,600 x 1,200 resolution.

"The user may surf the Internet on one screen and watch an Excel file on another," Wu said. "Viewing different applications on one PC causes inconvenience for some people, especially salespeople or office workers. This solution has solved that problem."

The DH500 Wi-Fi cam is part of Active Development's effort to popularize remote surveillance products and solutions. The Wi-Fi cam is connected to the Internet wirelessly, thus freeing the user from being chained to the wall. With the Wi-Fi cam, a user can go to a specific Web site and remotely watch the place where the camera is set up.

"We're seeking to add more value to remote surveillance technologies, and we hope the DH500 solution will be used by more consumers, not just security professionals," Wu said.

The LF2020 is a solution dubbed "My Hometown TV." The solution allows the user to watch television programs from his or her hometown at a remote location. All the user needs to do is to set his or her PC up for running TV programs, and watch the programs on another PC at a remote location with the help of Skype.

The LF2020 is a step up from its earlier version and supports digital TV formats.
