Imaging wearing a USB pen drive as a necklace, or having a pen drive that resembles sushi. These are

the latest developments by C-One Technology Corp., which markets its products under the brand of Pretec.

The company chiefly manufactures USB pen drives but also makes a number of Flash-based memory cards.

To stay away from cut-throat competition in the market, the company seeks to add value to its USB pen drives to make them more attractive.

The company has unveiled two new products, the "I-Disk Bella" and the "I-Disk Swing," which are for women and men, respectively.

The I-Disk Bella is a USB pen drive and the pendant of a necklace at the same time. The pen drive is embedded with a piece of precious stone, making it an ideal decorative piece for women. The I-Disk Swing, meanwhile, is a pen drive ornamented with a piece of Swarovski crystal designed for men.

Another model, I-Disk Vogue, is a pen drive studded with several artificial diamonds. C-One has teamed up with China Airlines to distribute the product.

All the above models are within the NT$1,900 to NT$2,500 range depending on the memory size of the pen drive.

Pretec has also rolled out pen drives that take different shapes. These include pen drives in the shape of sushi or a soccer ball. The models are part of Pretec's effort to integrate innovative design concepts into its products.
