Russia beats Japan in volleyball World League

TOKOROZAWA, Japan -- Beijing Olympic bronze medallists Russia powered past Japan for their second straight win in the World League men's volleyball tournament on Sunday.

The Russian spikers, who defeated Japan in three sets in the opener on Saturday, rallied to a 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 25-12 victory in the Group C competition, which also includes Bulgaria and Cuba.
