Peng Shuai, Hsieh Su-wei in BNP Paribas Open Final

LOS ANGELES--Top seeded Peng Shuai, from China, and Hsieh Su-wei, from Taiwan, overcame lapses of concentration Friday to come from behind and reach the women's doubles final of the 2014 BNP Paribas Open in Indiana Wells, California.

The cross-Taiwan Strait duo beat Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia and Samantha Stosur 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-2 in a semi-final game.

Peng and Hsieh have won all ten finals that they have competed in on the WTA tour, clinching their latest title in the Qatar Open in mid-February.

“Of course we hope to keep the winning streak going here,” said Hsieh, Taiwan's top female professional tennis player.

The duo, both 28, will meet Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Sania Mirza of India in the final on Saturday.

In their previous encounter in Tokyo last September, Peng and Hsieh were beaten in the semi-finals but Hsieh said that she never does well in Tokyo. Things will be different in Indiana Wells, she said.
