Celtic boss hails potential of Korean recruit

SEOUL -- Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell Monday hailed the “amazing potential” of South Korea's Ki Sung-Yueng, who signed a four-year contract with the Scottish giants last week.

“We believe that he is an extremely talented player with amazing potential,” said Lawwell, who came to South Korea to present Ki with his new strip.

Ki, 20, has appeared in 17 internationals including World Cup qualifiers and earned the Asian Young Player of the Year award from the Asian Football Confederation.
