Updated Thursday, November 19, 2009 10:23 am TWN, AFP Ex-Man United star to coach Melbourne teamOlsen, who played under Alex Ferguson and French World Cup winning coach Aime Jacquet, will join ex-Socceroo Ante Milicic on John van't Schip's coaching squad for Melbourne's Heart Syndicate. “I am excited to be working alongside Ante and Jesper. They bring qualities to the table, which are important to build a successful football club, and will help us into the future,” head coach Van't Schip said. “Ante's knowledge of youth football, development and the A-League will prove important, while Jesper's experience in the Dutch system will reinforce the football style and philosophy I hope to integrate.” Thirty-five-year-old Milicic, who earned six caps with the Socceroos, completed stints in the Dutch Eredivisie and Croatian First Division before returning to Australia for three seasons in the A-League competition. Olsen, who played for Manchester United, Ajax and Bordeaux during 11 years in European football, has spent some 25 years developing and identifying talent through his own academy in Australia and Europe.
