Storm advances to 4th straight grand final

SYDNEY -- Australia test center Greg Inglis scored three tries Saturday to lead the Melbourne Storm to a 40-10 win over the Brisbane Broncos and qualify for a fourth straight grand final in Australia's National Rugby League.

The Storm, who led 22-0 at halftime, will play the Parramatta Eels next Sunday in Sydney. The Eels beat the second-place Bulldogs 22-12 Friday in the other semifinal.

Melbourne, which joined the league in 1998, won its first premiership the following year and its second in 2007.

“They were too good early on and they gave us nothing,” Brisbane captain Darren Lockyer said.

Parramatta's win was its 10th in 11 matches.

A record crowd of more than 74,549 turned up at the former Olympic stadium in Sydney to watch the Eels qualify for their first grand final since 2001 and contend for their first title since 1986.
