Five players were ejected in the closing minute of the game after three fights broke out in Game Two of the best-of-seven series. Thirty-two penalties for 141 minutes and seven game misconducts were called in the rough contest.

Dumont scored his two goals in a two and-a-half minute span in the second period to give the Predators a 4 1 lead.

He had an unassisted short-handed goal at 10:26 of the period, then scored off a power-play opportunity at 12:56.

Forsberg scored Nashville’s second goal of the first period, then added an empty netter late in the third period.

“We knew it was a huge game for us,” Forsberg told reporters after the game. “We had to win this to get back into the series. It would be tough going down there 2-0.”

Alexander Radulov had the Predators’s other goal.

Craig Rivet and Ryane Clowe scored for the Sharks, who had topped the Predators 5-4 in double overtime in the series opener on Wednesday.

Nashville netminder Tomas Vokoun made 22 saves for the win.

— Francois Beauchemin scored twice on powerplays and the Anaheim Ducks edged the Minnesota Wild 3-2 at home to take a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference series.

Ryan Getzlaf’s second-period short-handed goal gave the Ducks a 3-1 lead before Mikko Koivu scored in the third period for the Wild.

Marin Gaborik scored Minnesota’s other goal in the second period.

Netminder Ilya Bryzgalov made 30 saves for the Ducks.

— Jeff Halpern and Joel Lundqvist scored goals and netminder Marty Turco made 35 saves as the Dallas Stars leveled their Western Conference series with the Vancouver Canucks with a 2-0 road win.

Stu Barnes had assists on both goals.

The teams had played a four-overtime game on Wednesday with the Canucks winning 5-4 as Roberto Luongo made 72 saves.
