Marcus Kruger and Andrew Shaw scored in the second period for the Blackhawks, who still have not suffered a defeat in regulation time this season, pushing that streak to 14 games.
In other key games, surging Anaheim beat Detroit, Dallas rallied late to end Vancouver's six-game winning streak, and New Jersey came from two goals down to beat Philadelphia.
Chicago's Dave Bolland and Niklas Hjalmarsson also scored in a game that included a rare fight between opposing captains and Jonathon Toews squared off against San Jose's Joe Thornton.
Anaheim's Andrew Cogliano scored two of the Ducks three goals in the third period, which lifted the visitors to a 5-2 win at the Detroit Red Wings and their seventh win in eight games.
Viktor Fasth made 26 saves to become the first goalie in seven years to win his first seven career starts.
Matt Beleskey and Corey Perry each had a goal and an assist for Anaheim while Joakim Andersson and Tomas Tatar scored for Detroit.
