Hurricanes blow away Devils' 5-game winning streak
APNEWARK, New Jersey -- Jiri Tlusty scored two goals in the third period and Cam Ward made 26 saves as the Carolina Hurricanes beat New Jersey 4-2 on Tuesday night, snapping the Devils' five-game winning streak.

Jussi Jokinen and Patrick Dwyer also scored for Carolina, which went 4-1-1 on its six-game road trip.
With Carolina on the power play, Tlusty flipped a shot toward the net that bounced off Devils defenseman Bryce Salvador and over goalie Martin Brodeur at 7:25. Eric Stall earned an assist, extending his point streak to 10 games.
Tlusty later added an empty-net goal.
Ilya Kovalchuk and Ryan Carter scored for the Eastern Conference-leading Devils, who lost in regulation at home for the first time this season (5-1-1).
Ducks 3, Blackhawks 2, SO In Chicago, Viktor Fasth made two stops in the shootout to remain perfect in six starts and Anaheim beat Chicago in a matchup of the top two teams in the Western Conference.
After Jonathan Toews converted the first shootout attempt for Chicago, Fasth stopped Patrick Kane's backhander and denied Brandon Saad on the right side of the goal to become the first goalie to win his first six NHL starts since Dan Ellis with Dallas and Nashville from Feb. 18, 2004 to Nov. 29, 2007.
Nick Bonino and Corey Perry scored in the tiebreaker for Anaheim, which improved to 3-1 on its season-high, six-game road trip.
