Blackhawks still unbeaten in regulation, beat Predators 3-0

Chicago maintained a seven-point lead atop the Central Division by notching their fourth straight win, all on the road.

Elsewhere, New Jersey extended its winning streak to five by beating Pittsburgh, and Boston set a new record for the team's best start to a season by defeating Buffalo.

Chicago's Marcus Kruger and Jonathan Toews scored 66 seconds apart in the second period and Patrick Kane sealed the result in the third as the Blackhawks improved their road record to a remarkable 8-0-2.

The New Jersey Devils won 3-1 at the Pittsburgh Penguins, with Ilya Kovalchuk and David Clarkson scoring less than two minutes apart in the second period.

Boston's Patrice Bergeron scored the go-ahead goal on a third-period power play as the Bruins downed the Buffalo Sabres 3-1.

New York's Carl Hagelin had two goals and an assist while Henrik Lundqvist made 19 saves as the Rangers beat Tampa Bay 5-1, extending the Lightning's losing skid to four games.
