Canadiens beat Ducks 4-3 in SO

Red Wings 5, Blackhawks 4 At Chicago, Pavel Datsyuk capped a five-goal second period as Detroit rallied to beat Chicago, spoiling a hat track by the Blackhawks' Andrew Ladd.

Brian Rafalski, Nicklas Lidstrom, Jason Williams and Valtteri Filppula also scored in the second period for Detroit, which came back from a 2-0 deficit to win for the fourth time in five games.

Duncan Keith opened the scoring for Chicago at the 4:24 mark before Ladd made it 2-0, firing in a one-timer from the right circle off a turnover.

Sabres 2, Rangers 1, OT At New York, Patrick Kaleta banked in a rebound off goalie Henrik Lundqvist 2:22 into overtime to snap Buffalo's road losing streak at eight games.

Adam Mair gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead with 5:57 left in regulation, and Brandon Dubinsky tied it for New York with 1:23 remaining.

New York had gone 149 minutes, 30 seconds without a goal, dating to the second period of a 5-4 home loss in overtime to Pittsburgh on Thursday.

Hurricanes 4, Thrashers 0 At Atlanta, Manny Legace made 27 saves for Carolina's first shutout of the season, and Jussi Jokinen had a goal and an assist.

Legace improved to 9-5-2 with his 24th NHL shutout and first since April 5, 2008, for St. Louis against Columbus.

Carolina has won eight of nine overall. After losing its first 13 road games of the season, Carolina has won five of its last seven away from home. Brandon Sutter, Joni Pitkanen and Rod Brind'Amour also scored.

Canucks 4, Predators 2 At Nashville, Tennessee, Jannik Hansen scored the go-ahead goal with just under 6 minutes left in the third period for Vancouver.

Mikael Samuelsson, Alexander Edler and Henrik Sedin also scored for Vancouver, which has won three of its last four. The Canucks are 7-5-0 so far on their franchise-high 14-game trip. Jason Arnott and Jordin Tootoo had goals for the Predators, who have dropped back-to-back games after winning their previous three.

Flyers 3, Maple Leafs 1 At Philadelphia, Simon Gagne and Danny Briere scored in a 1:16 span in the second period, and Michael Leighton made 27 saves for Philadelphia.

Jeff Carter scored his 30th goal to help the Flyers break a two-game losing streak in their first home game after the Olympic break. Nikolai Kulemin scored for Toronto.

Oilers 2, Devils 0 At Edmonton, Jeff Deslauriers made 22 saves for his third shutout of the season while Gilbert Brule and Marc Pouliot scored for the Oilers in a 2-0 victory over New Jersey.

Edmonton also beat Minnesota on Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak. Last overall in the NHL, the Oilers are 6-25-2 in their last 33 games. Edmonton opened the scoring 1:23 into the second. Patrick O'Sullivan tracked down a puck behind the New Jersey net and put in front to Brule. His quick shot banked in off of Brodeur for his 14th goal and 30th point of the season.
