The Red Wings overcame a 5-1 deficit to force overtime. Ales Hemsky had two goals and an assist for Edmonton. Linemate Dustin Penner had a goal — his ninth of the season — and three assists, and Shawn Horcoff had a goal and two assists. Jean-Francois Jacques also scored. Lightning 5, Senators 2 At Tampa, Florida, Steven Stamkos had two power-play goals and an assist, and Todd Fedoruk, Ryan Malone and Alex Tanguay also scored for Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis played in his 700th NHL game and extended his team-record season-opening points streak to 10 games (11 assists, 14 points) with an assist. Vernon Fiddler assisted on both goals. Bryzgalov led Phoenix to its sixth win in eight games and its best 12-game start since 2000. Andrew Raycroft made 30 saves in his first start of the season for the Canucks. Scott Parse scored his first NHL goal in the first period for Los Angeles. Predators 2, Blackhawks 0 At Nashville, Tennessee, Pekka Rinne made 22 saves for his first shutout of the season and fifth overall, and Joel Ward had a power-play goal for Nashville against Chicago.
