TAIPEI -- Taiwanese golfer Teresa Lu scored an 8-under 64 in the final round of the Resort Trust Ladies Open in Japan on Sunday, winning her second JLPGA title.
The 26-year-old finished with a 15-under 201 in the three-round Japan Tour tournament held at the Kansai Golf Club in Hyogo May 30-June 1 with a purse of 12.6 million Japanese yen (US$123,770).
After the first two rounds, in which she scored a 5-under 67 and a 2-under 70, Lu lagged behind Japanese Junko Omoto by one shot to tie at second.
On Sunday, Lu grabbed four birdies in the front nine holes and four others in the back nine that eventually helped her win the game.
Lu withdrew from the LPGA Tour in 2010 to concentrate on professional tournaments in Japan and won her first LPGA/JLPGA title at the Mizuno Classic in Japan in January this year.
The tournament was organized jointly by the U.S.-based Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Ladies Professional Golf Association of Japan (JLPGA).
