The golfers, who also include Spaniard Beatriz Recari, Korean sweetheart Na Yeon Choi and Mik Miyazato of Japan, received a warm welcome from local golf fans upon their arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The LPGA Taiwan tournament, which carries a purse of US$2 million, will tee off Oct. 24 at the Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Taoyuan, northern Taiwan.
Seven golfers on the LPGA Tour's top 10 money list have confirmed that they will be taking part in the four day tournament, according to an announcement by organizers in late September.
A record number of 10 Taiwanese players, including former world No. 1 Yani Tseng, who currently ranks 25th, will also compete.
It will be the third year that the Sunrise golf club has organized the LPGA Taiwan tournament under a three-year contract with the U.S.-based LPGA.
An arrival press conference will be held Tuesday and a Pro-Am event will take place the day after that as a warm-up event prior to the actual start of the tournament.
