Yani Tseng ties for 32nd in Lotte Championship

TAIPEI--Taiwan's Yani Tseng shot a 1-under-par 71 Friday in the third round of the LPGA Lotte Championship in Kapolei, Hawaii, tying for 32nd place with a total two-under 214.
Tseng, ranked third in the world, set off at the ninth hole, but soon entered a bogey spree at the 10th, 13th and 16th. In her first nine holes, the golfer beloved by her compatriots back in Taiwan shot a 2-over 38, with one birdie at 15th.
Back to the front nine, Yani rebounded with her second birdie at the first hole, and further got two birdies at the 5th and 7th holes respectively, before finishing the game with a 1-under 71.
Suzann Petterson from Norway continued her lead with a 4-under 68 in the third of four rounds of the Lotte tournament that took place at Ko Olina Golf Club with a purse of US$1.7 million.
In total, the 32-year-old Petterson shot a 14-under 202, followed by South Korea's Hee Kyung Seo with a 13-under 203, and defending champion Ai Miyazato from Japan with an 11-under 205.
Second-ranked Stacy Lewis shot a 3-under 69 with three birdies Friday to tie for fifth with a total 9-under 207.
