Yani Tseng 4th after 3rd round of Australian Open

TAIPEI--Taiwan's Yani Tseng rose to fourth place Saturday with a 9-under par 210 after the third round of the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open, eight shots behind leaders Lydia Ko of New Zealand and Jiyai Shin of South Korea.
Tseng, who was tied for eighth after the first two rounds, shot four birdies and two bogeys to record a two-under 71 and tie with another four players for fourth place.
Shooting a three-round total of three-under 216, fellow Taiwanese Amy Hung was tied for 51st with several other players, including defending champion Jessica Korda of the United States.
Ko, a 15-year-old New Zealand amateur of South Korean descent, and Shin, led the tournament each with 17-under 202, six shots before third-round No. 3 Beatriz Recari of Spain.
As of Feb. 11, Tseng remained the top female golfer in the world for the 105th consecutive week. Her ranking points average of 9.69 was 1.21-points better than South Korea's Na Yeon Choi, who is not competing in the Australian tournament this year.
