All-star players prepare for Swinging Skirts skins game

TAIPEI--Hall-of-famer Annika Sorenstam from Sweden and the world's top female golfer Yani Tseng are set to compete in a skins game ahead of Taiwan's Swinging Skirts golf tournament in early December, the organizers said yesterday.

Two all-star groups are scheduled to tee off Dec. 6 at the Miramar Golf and Country Club in Linkou, New Taipei, and vie for US$100,000 in prize money, half of which will be donated to charity, said the Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA), one of the annual event's organizers.

Se Ri Pak of South Korea and Cristie Kerr of the United States will play with Sorenstam and Taiwan's Tseng, while 2012 major tournament winners Jiyai Shin, Na Yeon Choi and Sun Young Yoo from South Korea and 2010 U.S. Women's Open champion Paula Creamer from the U.S. make up the other group.
