Yani Tseng thanks fans for support after LPGA eventCNA TAIPEI--Taiwanese female golfer Yani Tseng, who finished third in the just-concluded Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship, said via Facebook yesterday that the support of her fans is the most powerful motivation keeping her going.
October 31, 2012, 12:02 am TWN “Thank you for allowing me to be able to compete with joy again and enjoy every moment on the course,” Tseng said. “Even though I did not win the title, I feel no regret throughout the tournament because I did my best on every shot.” The 23-year-old expressed her gratitude to her fans. The Taiwan native carded a four round total of 15-under 273 in the US$2 million event, four strokes behind Norwegian Suzann Pettersen, who has won two straight LPGA competitions in the Asia tour this year — the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship in South Korea and the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship in Taiwan. World No. 1 Tseng also congratulated her good friend for her performance.
