Struggling Yani Tseng ties for fiftieth at US Open

KOHLER, Wisconsin--Struggling world No. 1 Yani Tseng of Taiwan carded a 6 over 78 in the final round of the U.S. Women's Open Sunday, finishing tied for 50th with a four-round total of 14-over 302.

Choi Na-yeon of South Korea won the tournament with a total of 7-under 281 and the season's largest first-place check of US$585,000. Her compatriot Amy Yang finished second with a total of 3-under 285.

Tseng started well on the front nine, finishing three under. She played an eagle on the second, and carded birdies on the seventh and the ninth. She slipped slightly to register a bogey on the eighth.
