Jeremy Lin shows no mercy to old team in 140-109 routCNA TAIPEI--Jeremy Lin reminded the Golden State Warriors of what could have been by sinking five of his team's record-tying 23 three-pointers and scoring a game-high 28 points in the Houston Rockets' emphatic win over the Warriors Tuesday.
February 7, 2013, 12:03 am TWN Lin's dazzling performance in the Rockets' 140-109 victory was one of his best with Houston and reminded fans of the player who sparked the Linsanity craze almost exactly one year ago. The point guard shot 10-of-16 from the floor, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, and dished out nine assists in a game that was never in doubt after the Rockets took a double-digit lead midway through the second quarter. James Harden scored 18 points and Chandler Parsons added 16 for Houston. “Thankfully, we were just able to get a bunch of open looks and knock them down,” Lin said. “That's just the way it is sometimes.” Lin wrote on his Facebook page after the game: “Great team win tonight! Sooo weird playing against the team I grew up rooting for...will always have so much love for the #BayAreaaa.” The win improved the Rockets record to 27-23, a half-game behind the seventh-place Utah Jazz in the Western Conference.
